Classic Car Insurance
Whether your car is classed as antique, veteran, vintage, post vintage, classic etc etc, you will want to make sure it is properly insured.
There is a large variety of insurance providers for classic or cherished cars and much of the information required is very similar to that for conventional car insurance.
A feature of this type of car is the limited mileage undertaken, and insurance providers are prepared to reflect this by giving discounts for limited annual mileage. For example you might be asked to select from limits of less than 1500, 1500-3000, 3000-5000 or 5000-7500. Some providers impose a maximum of 20000 miles per annum.
Other features of this type of insurance are discounts for cars laid up for part of the year, agreed values in the event of a claim, special extensions to provide cover at track days or rallies, use of the car for weddings, and the option to retain the salvage if the car is damaged beyond reasonable repair.
Different insurance providers offer different variations of cover and it is always worthwhile to check these before buying your insurance.
