Insurance company Churchill, known for their friendly bulldog mascot, were recently taken up on their inviting slogan - ‘challenge churchill’ - by a disgruntled customer.
Post Online have reported that ASA have found Churchill’s TV advert, in which a talking bulldog proposes that it is possible for customers to make a claim without filling in any forms, is ‘misleading’. They received a complaint after a customer was sent a from to fill-in when making a claim.
Churchill have removed the advert from circulation and have agreed to no longer use the slogan as they believe it is necessary for forms to be completed in around 20% of claims cases. (more…)
